What markets is Chilemúsica targeting?Our first objectives will be focused on Mexico, Spain and Peru, where Chilean music already has a good reception and a natural and organic development of its opportunities. This, without prejudice of the search for new possibilities in different territories.
Who is behind Chilemúsica?This sectorial brand was created by the Chilean Independent Music Industry Trade Association (IMICHILE – Asociación Gremial Industria Musical Independiente de Chile), the Export Promotion Office (ProChile – Dirección General de Promoción de Exportaciones), the Culture and Arts Undersecretariat (Subsecretaría de las Culturas y las Artes), the Production Development Corporation (Corporación de Fomento de la Producción – Chilecreativo) and the Chilean Collecting Society (SCD – Sociedad Chilena de Autores e Intérpretes Musicales).
How does Chilemúsica work?We are organizers.
We put our contact network at the disposal of the delegations that have already been selected in each of the fairs, festivals, markest or international instances, in order to facilitate the mission of permeating into new markets.
This results in tasks as diverse as scheduling busines meetings with foreign agents, generating links between local and global industry for sales, programming, and media outreach.
In addition, we are responsible for promoting and organizing the presence of delegations, along with creating commercial networks with other countries.
What is a Sectorial Brand?It is a public tender which focuses on projects that seek to strengthen a particular national productive sector, through the creation and implementation of a brand that is representative of that sector. Each project designs a brand strategy in order to penetrate one or more international markets, by means of a public-private partnership, which has the advantage of achieving economies of scale for the diffusion and positioning of the sector abroad, working its image according to the attributes associated with the country brand.
