Marineros arrives in Spain for the first time
The band will make its debut at Monkey Week in El Puerto de Santa María, along with performances in Barcelona, Madrid, and Valencia.

Marineros, the Chilean duo formed by Soledad Puentes and Cer and recognized as one of the most influential acts in Chile’s alternative pop scene, announces its first tour in Spain. The project arrives with a renewed live show, full-band format, and its distinctive dreampop sound, built on ethereal atmospheres and introspective lyrics. This visit follows an active season of performances in Chile and the recent release of their single “Lo que siento.”
With two studio albums, “O Marineros” (2015) and “Al calor de un sol que acaba de morir” (2023), both produced by Cristián Heyne and Soledad Puentes, the duo continues to expand its creative universe and consolidate a body of work that has influenced a new generation of artists. This tour marks a new chapter in their trajectory and strengthens the connection between the Chilean and Spanish music scenes.
One of the milestones of the visit will be their debut at the 17th edition of Monkey Week SON Estrella Galicia, one of the most important professional and artistic gatherings of the Ibero-American independent music scene. The event will take place from November 20 to 22 in El Puerto de Santa María, Cádiz, bringing together emerging artists, professionals, and delegations from various countries. Marineros will perform live on Friday, November 21 at 7:45 PM at Teatro Municipal Pedro Muñoz Seca.

The participation of Marineros in Monkey Week is supported by Chilemúsica, within the framework of the brand’s work to showcase and project Chilean music in strategic international markets. Spain is one of its priority countries, and the presence of Chilean projects at the festival aligns with ongoing efforts to strengthen the sector’s visibility within the Ibero-American industry.
This is Chilemúsica’s third participation in Monkey Week, following an exploratory mission carried out with IMICHILE in 2012, which marked the beginning of a long-standing relationship with the conference. Since then, active exchange has been promoted between both organizations, consolidating a sustained collaborative relationship and generating new opportunities for artists and professionals from both territories. As part of this ongoing alliance, representatives from Monkey Week have visited Chile twice to participate in the Fluvial and Pulsar, conferences, further strengthening the connection and expanding collaboration between the two scenes.

Marineros’ tour began on Wednesday, November 19 in Barcelona (Jamboree 3) and continues on Sunday, November 23 in Madrid (Café Berlín). Both dates are part of Ciclo BaCáN, a Chilean music concert series held in Spain since 2021. The initiative, led by La Sagrada Música, focuses on promoting Chilean music and is supported in 2025 by the Embassy of Chile in Spain and the Cultural Affairs Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The tour concludes on Friday, November 28 in Valencia at Centro Excursionista Bar, where they will share the stage with Catalan artist Carlota Flâneur.
